Virtue Macauley (James, Otoufok Macauley) is a Nigerian contemporary gospel music minister, songwriter, violinist, music lover and a poet.
He is the first in the family of seven of Mr. and Mrs. Macauley James Udofia. He hails from Ikot Akpa Nkuk in Ukanafun Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
He laid down the first stone of his academics pathway at Goodshephard Christian Academy and later switched to Government Primary School Nyak Ibah, where he obtained his First School Leaving Testimonial.
He attended his secondary school at Gateway Standard Academy, Ikot Akpa Nkuk - Ukanafun, Akwa Ibom State.
The young star of our time, James, Otoufok Macauley received a classical laurel as the top-notch graduating student in Financial Accounting at Gateway Standard Academy (class of 2012 graduands)
He furthered his tertiary education at Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, Imo State. Where he received the award of
National Diploma in Accountancy
Higher National Diploma in Accountancy. Both at the same institution.
He is a trained analytical Accountant.
His love and passion for music displayed at the early stage, being a member of the youth choir in his home church (Q. I. C.) and as well an active member of the Student Choir (Q. I. C. Owerri.) while on a quest to join The Main Choir. After fulfilling the requirements and fitted, he was enrolled to the the Main Choir during his study years at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, through the leadership of the choir masters Mr. Alex Imo Udofia and Mr.Ubong Uwah and the church officials.
Virtue Macauley was once a back up singer at Treasure House choir group Nekede. He is a member of the Penta Voices and also an associate member of One Mighty Voice - Ukanafun
He had ministered in many church functions with this violin and also shared stages with other renowned artistes and other great ministers.
He released his first single titled "THANK YOU LORD".
According to him, he said that he is not singing because people out there are singing but he sings because God gave it to him and has privileged him to sing for His glory. Thanking God for the gift of life, as it is fully expressed in the song's lyrics.
