In "The Room Next Door," titans of acting get into an emotional alternately. In her role as Ingrid, Moore serves as the audience's proxy, doing her best to reach an impossible goal. She may be overly caring, but she manages to deal with her friend's loss gracefully without upsetting Martha. Even though she acts like something else at times, her actions in this film are motivated by love as she tries to help her sick buddy.
