The Damned follows the story of Eva, played by Odessa Young, a widow who must lead the fishermen of her village through the current fishing season after losing her husband to the sea last winter. She has inherited the village's only boat, giving her the power to make important decisions. The conversation takes a quick turn when they spot a shipwreck from their lookout. With resources already scarce, the villagers face a tough choice: sharing what little food they have could spell disaster for everyone. Ultimately, they decide to take no action. However, when Eva finds a barrel of supplies washed up on the shore, she organizes a mission to the rocks in hopes of discovering more, only to encounter survivors who have made it through their first night.
