The film centers on O'Dessa (Sink), the Seventh Son in a family of wanderers, who is destined to save the world with her cherished six-string guitar. She needs to discover her voice and perform a song that will liberate the people from the tyranny and brutality of dictator Plutovich (Murray Bartlett). Plutovich controls the masses through a game show that combines elements of America’s Got Talent and the Hunger Games, allowing him to indulge in luxury while the people suffer. To fulfill her destiny, O'Dessa journeys to Satylite City, the heart of the oppression. There, she encounters Euri Dervish (Harrison Jr.), a talented musician who is compelled to entertain against his will. The two quickly fall in love, and when their future together is jeopardized, O'Dessa must fight to protect both Euri and those around her. Visually, the film blends the aesthetics of Mad Max and Fifth Element, featuring dusty landscapes interspersed with vibrant colors, transitioning into industrial cityscapes adorned with neon lights and rich textures, complemented by striking costumes designed by Scott Dougan, Odile Dicks-Mireaux, and Anna Munro. This world strikes a balance between gritty and luxurious. As a rock opera, singing is integral, with songs that are essential to the narrative. Jasper and Jason Binnick created melodies that range from folk to rock as O'Dessa bravely confronts her fate.
